I create as a way of honoring where I come from while speaking to where we are now, by bridging ancestral knowledge and modern experience.

My name is sčʕačʕaypx skekʕakaʔ, and I am member of the Schitsu-umsh (Coeur d'Alene Tribe)

I am the President of the Board of Directors at the Salish School of Spokane where my wife teaches and our children attend school.

In 2021, I was commissioned to paint a mural on an interior wall at Gonzaga Family Haven in Spokane Washington. After scanning a QR code with their phones, visitors can point their cameras at an animal in the mural, and an AR component will speak the name of that animal in Salish.
